The Metlar-Bodine House Museum is a historic house museum located in Highland Park, New Jersey. The museum is operated by the Middlesex County Historical Commission and is open to the public for tours and educational programs.
The Metlar-Bodine House was built in 1728 by John Bodine, a Dutch immigrant. The house was expanded and remodeled several times over the years, and remained in the Bodine family until 1854 when it was sold to William J. Metlar. The Metlar family owned and occupied the house until 1957 when it was donated to the Middlesex County Historical Commission.
The Metlar-Bodine House Museum today features furniture, paintings, and other artifacts that date back to the 18th and 19th centuries.
